Ingredients
180 gm | butter/margarine | |
160 gm | sugar | |
1 can | evaporated milk | |
1 teaspoon | essence vanilla | |
340 gm | plain flour | |
1 teaspoon | double action baking powder | |
½ | teaspoon baking soda |
Method
1. | Put the butter, sugar and milk into saucepan and melt over low heat without boiling it and cool to room temperature. | |
2. | Sift all the dry ingredients together into a mixing bowl. | |
3. | Slowly add in the melted mixture and gradually fold in the flour so that it is smooth and well-mixed. | |
4. | Finally add in the essence vanilla. | |
5. | Pour into a greased and lined cake tin and bake for 30–45 minutes at 160C till cooked. |
