IThe experiences on the tour are difficult to describe but I will share the different thoughts and views in the best way I could remember.

Buddhism in Malaysia is progressing and many Buddhist laities are also extensively involved in Dharmaduta. There are also more hermitage facilities to benefit the more serious practitioner for meditation and well being. What is still lacking is Buddhist education and how society can play a more Dharmaduta role.

Buddhism as a way of life is still very far from being properly understood. Taking refuge in the Triple Gems is still lacking in knowledge and confidence by the Malaysian Buddhist devotees. The confusion and lack of understanding between the different Buddhist Traditions could be one of the reasons for this.

When a group participated in a tour comprising Sangha and lay people, everyone should reciprocate properly. The Sangha always need the lay communities for support and conveniences because the bhikshus and bhikshunis are always in a difficult situation when we are not in the temple ground.
