Once
the performances were over, the Sunday school children began to
distribute flowers to all the old folks. This was then followed
by individual children presenting gifts to their aged parents
or relatives as a sign of love and respect. Old folks who were
without families were also presented with gifts from WCY.

While
the families were enjoying their lunch, four sharing sessions
were contributed by Mr. Lim Guat Choo, a WCY resident, Soon Ee,
a WCY staff , Mr. Looi, a WCY Old folks’s son, and Miss
Irene Chew, a WCY old folk’s daughter . The event ended
at about 1.20pm, whereby the last item on the programme was a
lucky draw session with 16 individual prizes and 5 table draws.
Remarks:
I consider this
event to be very successful even though not all of the old folks'
families were able to attend the gathering. However, at least
a majority of them have shown care and concern , thus helping
us to achieve our goal of making the old folks of Wan Ching Yuen
happy.

Ms Soon Ee,
a staff of Wan Ching Yuen, giving a speech.
My sincere thanks
to all volunteers and staff, Shifu and the Sunday school children
who helped to make this a successful event.
