Than Hsiang Kindergaten
Holiday Camp 2005

Eighty Children and forty teachers and volunteers took part in the camp. Some parents also volunteered their services to help out during the camp. All parents were invited to attended the last session of the camp which was the "Happy Family Hour" and the turn-out was very good. It was a camp specially designed just for the very young. Kids in this modern society should grow up in an environment which caters to the development of their self confidence and their ability to be more independent.

Our specially trained teachers got together to plan this camp using past experiences of running such camps, and the Than Hsiang's conviction of "the young to learn, the strong and healthy to serve, the aged and sick to be cared for .........".

The camp's objective: "to develop a compassionate, caring and grateful society" reflects not only the institution's conviction but also the dedication of the volunteers, teachers, staffs that ran the camp. The aims of the camp are:-
1)       To develop the child to be independent.
2)       To inculcate the attitude of being grateful.
3)       To enhance the child's ability to socialize.
