Da Yuan Dian

Da Yuan Dian (Hall of Great Vow) of Than Hsiang Temple offers a quiet, serene ambience for the placement of Memorial Tablets of your deceased love ones.

The Memorial Tablet serves as a means for us to remember our deceased love ones and to develope our gratitude for our parents and ancestors and to transfer merits to the departed ancestors and relatives every 1 st and 15 th day of the Lunar month.

A Memorial Tablet for two names can be placed at Da Yuan Dian for a donation.

Management of Da Yuan Dian

•  The donor makes a donation to Than Hsiang Welfare and Education Fund in exchange for the use of a Memorial Tablet. (Please fill in and sign the Application Form.)

•  The tablet is available for occupancy after the full amount of donation has been settled.

•  Please note that the Temple does not allow the offering of non-vegetarian food and burning of papers inside and outside the Da Yuan Dian. Any rites or ceremony contrary to the Buddhist teachings are not allowed.

•  The above rules are subject to revision as and when appropriate.
