In collaboration with the celebration of Ninth Lunar vegetarian festival from 29/9 till 7/10, Than Hsiang temple, Wan Chin Yuen and Mitra Welfare Center will be organizing vegetarian charity sales , in their bid to encourage more people to be vegetarians while supporting welfare and education enterprises.

As regards venues of sales, besides Than Hsiang Temple itself, Mitra Welfare will again set up their outlet at the ground floor of Bayan Baru Sunshine square-next to Bread R Us ; while Wan Chin Yuen will be back again at Lebuhraya Batu Lanchang opposite IJM Flat. Food will be on sales from 7am till 9pm . All proceeds will be channeled to Phor Tay High school Building Fund.

The vegetarian foods include economic rice with an assortment of vegetarian dishes, noodles, kueh and soft drinks. Delicious Buffet lunch will be served at the air conditioned multi-purpose hall at fifth floor.

In line with its conviction of “ The young to learn , the strong and healthy to serve , the aged and sick to be taken care for , and the departed to find spiritual destination ”, Than Hsiang Temple has been promoting various welfare, charity and education works with the support from the public. As a non- profit making organization, Than Hsiang Temple has as its prime mission, the propagation of the teaching of the Buddha / the turning of the wheel of Dharma for the welfare of all beings.
