Than Hsiang Kindergarten recently organised an outing for their five year old children on Sunday, 5 August 2007. The children, numbering sixty, and their teachers headed towards the Penang Municipality Youth Park for their fun and picnic in the open air against the backdrop of scenic hill and natural vegetation.

At the scenic Youth Park, students and teachers found an open field to hold their telematches. These were games involving a lot of fun activity such as “Limborock”, “horse” relay and hula hoop race. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves competing in these games. After the games, the children had a late morning picnic of light snacks.

The youth park is ideal for picnicking and hiking has been lately beautified with improved and extended footpaths for visitors to indulge in their morning and evening walks. The children had a great deal of fun walking around the park and enjoyed the play ground facilities as the play ground was well-equipped with all sorts of fun equipments.

All too soon, it was time to return to Than Hsiang Temple and it was with some reluctance the children had to end their fun filled morning at the Youth Park.
