Than Hsiang Reunion Luncheon

Than Hsiang Temple held a Reunion Luncheon on Sunday 28 January 2024 at the multipurpose hall on the 5th floor.

Sister Siang Nee and Bro Tan Hui Sen were the master of ceremonies. More than 600 devotees were also present.

The event started at 10 a.m.

Venerable Wei Wu, the founder of Than Hsiang Temple, was invited to give a speech. This was followed by the presentation of the " Staff Service Award" by Venerable Wei Wu to all those who have served the temple for more than 5 years. A total of 33 members of the staff received this award.

The highlight of the day were the performances by the various groups of Than Hsiang Temple such as Than Hsiang Youth Group, Than Hsiang Dhamma Chorus group, Than Hsiang Sunday Dhamma School, Than Hsiang Mitra Welfare Center, Than Hsiang Taijiquan Group, Than Hsiang Kindergarten, Than Hsiang Chan Yuan and Than Hsiang Wan Ching Yuan. All the participants put up a good show and attracted the attention of the audience by giving them a round of applause!

The atmosphere during the luncheon was lively. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food prepared by the hardworking and skilful volunteers at the Than Hsiang canteen.

They were also delighted to watch the presentation by various groups on stage.

During the luncheon,the emcees gave a presentation on the forthcoming activities for the year at Than Hsiang Temple.

The luncheon ended at around noon. It was definitely a well organized occasion. Everyone enjoyed the healthy vegan food prepared by the canteen and the cheerful ambience.
