Buddha’s name recitation on New Year’s Eve to welcome the Chinese New Year 2024
On New Year’s Eve, 9th February 2024, many devotees attended the “Out with the old, in with the new” Buddha’s name recitation service.
The Cleansing Ceremony for Chinese New Year Lamp-lighting started at 10pm at the Great Compassion Hall.
At 10.30pm everyone gathered at Main Shrine Hall to attend the Chanting Service. Venerable Wei Wu, the founder of Than Hsiang, gave us a dhamma talk followed by the morning service. After that, we received blessings for the new year by the sangha members. We welcomed the new year with Buddha’s name recitation. May everyone and our family members be well and happy.
