2014 Than Hsiang Temple Buddha Day Celebration

On Sunday 19th May 2024, at 9.30 am, the Buddha Bathing Ceremony was held at the Main Shrine Hall on the 6th floor of Than Hsiang Temple.

About three hundred devotees participated in the ceremony.

Than Hsiang Sunday Dharma School students and their parents arrived early in the morning. They were guided by their foster dharma parents to join the ceremony with the public and the volunteers.

The chief monk, Venerable Zhen Ru led the devotees in praying to the Buddha and chanting the sutras. It was followed by chanting The Verse of Bathing the Buddha and the Noon Offering.

Subsequently, venerable Zhen Ru gave a dharma talk on the significance of Buddha Bathing and the meaning of the verse “Bathing the Buddha”.

All the devotees queued respectfully to venerate and bathe the Buddha.

They also received the sangha blessing with rejoice.
