About Venerable Hui Guan:
Venerable Hui Guan, lay name Chu Lee Sar, was born in Malaysia in 1977 and is now forty-nine years old. Before ordination, she participated in the Cultivation activities at Than Hsiang Temple in 2018, where she deeply experienced the inconceivable power of keeping precepts. Thereafter, she actively engaged in temple practices and Dharma learning. Reflecting on her years of practice, she found that the Dharma brought transformation and growth, strengthening her faith in the Triple Gem.

Venerable expressed her gratitude for the guidance of many good teachers and recognized the difference between lay and monastic practice. After careful consideration, she resolved to renounce the household life. Through ordination, she can diligently study the Dharma, delve into the scriptures, and comprehend the teachings, thereby propagating the Dharma for the benefit of beings and ensuring its longevity. In this way, she can achieve both self-benefit and the benefit of others—seeking liberation for herself while also helping sentient beings to be freed from the suffering of samsara.
