The annual reunion dinner was held once again on Saturday, 29 th January at the Multi-purpose hall of Than Hsiang Temple. Residents, staff, volunteers and suppliers gathered for a wonderful giant steamboat cum buffet dinner. It was wonderful yearly event for members of the Than Hsiang family to forget about work, let their hair down and also enjoy themselves. The food was delicious and the atmosphere warm and happy.

Ven. Wei Wu in his welcoming speech said that he felt the intense warmth of the weather when he touched down in Kuala Lumpur earlier that afternoon after experiencing the nice cool weather in Taiwan and Hong Kong for the past few days,. Similarly he felt the warmth as he stepped into the air-conditioned Multi- purpose hall. However the warmth is of a different kind, it was the warmth of love and concern of all those present that have gathered as members of a big and happy family.

Those who were present not only get to enjoy the food but were also entertained with performances from a group of Than Hsiang Kindergarten children, Than Hsiang choir, other volunteers, soloists and also a New Year number (Kong Si, Kong Si) by representatives of the residents, staff and volunteers of Wan Ching Yuen Centre.

The evening rounded off with the long awaited lucky draw. The grand prize was a golden image of the Buddha worth RM800.00.
