2012 Children’s Camp themed “Let Love Permeate My Home” was held successfully by the Sunday Buddhist Class at Than Hsiang Chan Yuan on Sunday, May 27th. It was open to children aged between 7 to 12 years old.

Due to its president Brother Zhan Zhong’s dedicated efforts, preparations started months ago. Forty-four students participated in the camp which was in its fifth year since inception.

Registration for participators began at 8 a.m. on 27th May. An opening ceremony was held at 9 a.m. Among the programmes held during the camp were lectures on topics such as basic Buddhist etiquettes and the Ten Good Deeds as well as various kinds of interesting group activities.

At the end of the camp, souvenirs were given to each group of participators as a sign of encouragement. Besides, souvenirs were awarded to those Ai Xin brothers and sisters who had contributed much to make the camp a success.

Finally Than Hsiang Chan Yuan’s advisor, Brother Cheng Why expressed his gratitude to Than Hsiang Temple for setting up Than Hsiang Chan Yuan in Bukit Mertajam and thanked all people who had made this camp a success. He later urged the participators to treat Than Hsiang Chan Yuan as their second home where they can always feel free to visit.

On June 10th, an appreciation party was held in the afternoon to express gratitude to all members of the organizing committee of the camp.
