缘起
Introduction
农历七月是华人慎终追远，感恩报恩的日子。本寺为了提倡佛教盂兰盆节，发扬慎终追远及报恩孝亲的美德，订于阳历2006年8月14日至19日暨农历七月廿一日至廿六日（星期一至星期六）共修《佛说阿弥陀经》，8月20日暨农历七月廿七日（星期日）启建孝亲法会一永日，上午念佛共修、佛前大供、佛法开示及下午共修《三时系念佛事》一堂，集诸功德内资法会各姓门中历代考妣宗亲及各人之累劫冤亲债主，外拔十方法界一切无祀男女孤魂等众；祈愿现世父母寿命百年无病，过往亲属脱离三涂剧报。

法会所有功德回向法界一切众生离苦得乐，世界和平，国泰民安，风调雨顺，人民安居乐业，可谓冥阳两利，存没沾恩。敬请各界善信踊跃参加，诵经念佛共结善缘，同沾法喜，功德无量。
In conjunction with the Ullambana Festival, Than Hsiang Temple will be organising a Filial Piety Dharma Assembly on 20 August 2006. It includes Buddha Name Recitation, Offering to the Buddha, Dharma Talk and a Three-Session of Pure Land Chanting. Besides, there will be chanting sessions from 14 to 19 August 2006.
The merits accrued will be transferred to both our living and departed parents, relatives and friends as well as for world peace, well being of the people and the country, and all sentient beings. You and your family are cordially invited to participate in this meritorious Dharma Assembly.
