Our group went a long way from Penang to Kuala Lumpur and from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru, which is close to the Singapore border. The leader of our Group 5 was Venerable Buddhavamsa. The group consisted of two teachers, two Bangladeshi bhikkhus, two Cambodian bhikkhus, two Malaysian bhikkhus, and one lay driver.
Our group had visited many places without having any problems. We were like one happy family. We had learnt a lot from the experiences we had with each other, with different people from different culture, different traditions, different way of life.
In Malaysia, it is a very good example for us to learn and accept another culture because we can see the reality of the different people of different cultures and different religions living together in peace and harmony. We can see the Buddhist people in Malaysia practise all the three traditions of Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism.
For the Dhamma lecture, we had done very well.
• Johor Bahru - Mandarin - 20 people
• Batu Pahat - Mandarin - Ven. Somana - 32 people
• Teluk Intan - English - 66 people
Thank you in the Dhamma.
