CBETA Workshop (24 September 2023)
In the current digital era characterised by technological developments, reading the sutra whenever you like is no more a dream. On 24 September, 9 o’clock in the morning, Than Hsiang Temple held a CBETA Workshop in Room A, 4th floor. A CBETA worker, Ms Yong Li Yu, was invited to teach us how to operate CBETA effectively. There were more than 30 participants.
The Chinese Buddhist Electronic Texts Association (CBETA) has created a new online reading interface with complete content of various Buddhist scriptures and writings. It is equipped with comprehensive functions and allows free usage for Buddhists who are interested to do research studies or Buddhism practice.
Despite the rain in the morning, all the participants were enthusiastic to learn CBETA! Some new comers had to leave their homes very early and came all the way across the bridge, with the aid of the WAZE to Than Hsiang Temple for the dhamma jewel!
The participants’ enthusiasm seemed to make the cold room warmer! All the participants were immersed in the joy of dhamma sharing. They eagerly looked forward to the next workshop. It is certainly like swimming in the sea of dhamma in search of sutra treasure for wisdom!
Spread the Buddha's teachings to guide more people to study Buddhism.
Continue diligently in the path studying the Buddha's teachings and listening to the Dharma.
