The 2024 Annual Three-Day Amitabha Buddha-Name Recitation Retreat at Than Hsiang Temple was held from May 30 to June 2 at the multi-purpose hall on the 5th floor. The schedule was as follows:

- 12:00 PM: Registration opened. Participants, carrying simple luggage, arrived at the Great Compassion Hall for registration, which included verifying names and submitting mobile phones and other items for safekeeping by the temple. After registration, staff guided participants to their respective dormitories for a brief rest before gathering.
- 3:00 PM: At the multi-purpose hall on the 5th floor, Ven. Zhen Nian led stress-relief exercises, emphasizing the importance of experiencing, being aware of, and enjoying breathing.
- 4:00 PM: Ven. Zhen Xin explained the rules of the retreat and the dining etiquette in the dining hall, detailing the matters to be observed during meals.
- 5:00 PM: Ven. Zhen Ti guided the participants on Buddhist etiquette, including the correct way to wear, remove, and fold the Haiqing (a traditional Buddhist robe), as well as how to hold sutra books, bow to the Buddha, kneel, and sit properly. Participants attentively listened and strived to learn.
- 7:00 PM: After the purification ceremony, Venerable Wei Wu introduced the leading masters of the retreat. Subsequently, Venerable Wei Wu compassionately explained the Eight Precepts, their content, and the significance of observing them.
The retreat aimed to help participants to see deeply, experience and understand Buddhism through Buddha recitation, learning of rituals, and explanation of precepts, all in a relaxed and mindful environment.
