2014 Than Hsiang Temple Buddha Day Celebration

On Sunday 19th May 2024, at 9.30 am, the Buddha Bathing Ceremony was held at the Main Shrine Hall on the 6th floor of Than Hsiang Temple.

About three hundred devotees participated in the ceremony.

Than Hsiang Sunday Dharma School students and their parents arrived early in the morning. They were guided by their foster dharma parents to join the ceremony with the public and the volunteers.

Taking Three Refuge & Five Precepts Ceremony

To commemorate the Buddha's Parinirvana Day, Than Hsiang Temple conducted the Three Refuge taking and Five Precepts transmission ceremony at Da Bei Dian on 24th March, 2024 (Sunday) at 2pm.

Thirteen devotees took part in the ceremony.

Venerable Zhen Ru hosted the ceremony by giving a dhamma talk on the significance of taking refuge in the Three Jewels and receiving the Five Precepts.

Than Hsiang Kindergarten held the 32nd Graduation and Prize Giving Day on 24th February 2024. The 56 graduates came from all the Than Hsiang Kindergarten branches such as Than Hsiang main school, Sungai Ara and Farlim branches.

Than Hsiang Temple held a Reunion Luncheon on Sunday 28 January 2024 at the multipurpose hall on the 5th floor.

Sister Siang Nee and Bro Tan Hui Sen were the master of ceremonies. More than 600 devotees were also present.

2024 SPRING CLEANING

Than Hsiang Temple held the annual Spring Cleaning on 21 January 2024 at 8.30 am.

All volunteers gathered at “Da Bei Dian” for a brief dhamma talk by venerable Wei Wu, the founder of Than Hsiang Temple.

Ven Wei Wu praised all volunteers for their active participation. He reminded everyone taking this opportunity to be mindful in cleaning our inner defilement of greed, hatred and delusion in order to welcome the new year with a purified heart!
