Fo Qi Sharing 2

By Pan Chu from Pajam

Firstly, I am very grateful to Shifu for starting a Than Hsiang branch in Pajam in 2004. This gave me the opportunity to learn about Buddhism then. Initially my knowledge of Buddhism was very shallow until I attended Shifu's Dharma talks, one of which was “The Path to Bodhicitta”, in Country Heights , Johor Bahru and Tham Wah Wan (KL). The talks gave me a bit more understanding on how to live life and provided a practical approach in living my daily life with regards to problems I face at work, at home or with friends.

Fo Qi Sharing 1

张丽明

I am very pleased and happy to be given the chance to come to Than Hsiang Temple to participate in the spiritually fulfilling Fo Qi. Than Hsiang Temple has been doing such great deeds and I shall pledge to donate whatever I can to help in a small way towards the good work being carried out by Than Hsiang Temple.

During the chanting session, my deceased father's image appeared in my mind very distinctly and tears automatically flowed down. This happened to me three times. My father looked very happy. I hope my prayers would go to him and he would find peace in Sukhavati.

My experience during the Amitabha Recitation Retreat

Yew Lye Hin

During the Seven Day Amitabha Recitation Retreat (Fo Qi) last year, the staff of Than Hsiang Temple had to help in manning the various stations required for the successful organisation of the Fo Qi due to the huge number of preceptors at that time. This year, the number of preceptors was more manageable and the staff was once again allowed to participate in the Retreat. I took the opportunity then to participate on Monday, 19 November 2007 .
