The objective of this conference is to offer an opportunity to “young scholars” (Young scholar defined as those with less than five years experience in the field) to present and publish results of their research to promote studies and researches in Buddhist Studies, share knowledge as well foster academic alliances.

Call for Papers

The International Buddhist College is delighted to announce the International Young Buddhist Scholars Conference co-organized with the Than Hsiang Foundation, Malaysia. The International Young Buddhist Scholars Conference Committee welcomes contributions on various research topics relevant to contemporary Buddhist research. As such, we invite but not limited to post-doctoral researchers, young faculty staff, doctoral students and MA students from the field of Buddhist Research to participate.

Mahapajapati Vihara (female hostel) Building Fund


In order to upgrade the welfare of teachers and students, the International Buddhist College will build a female hostel consisting of a Buddhist shrine and 20 rooms to facilitate better accommodation for them.

The teacher's suite will have an attached kitchenette to provide more comfortable living space.

Mahapajapati Gotami

Mahapajapati Gotami, the Buddha's aunt cum adoptive mother, is the first woman to renounce in the Buddha’s monastic order.
