Chinese New Year Eve Buddha Name Recitation

The annual reunion dinner was held once again on Saturday, 29 th January at the Multi-purpose hall of Than Hsiang Temple. Residents, staff, volunteers and suppliers gathered for a wonderful giant steamboat cum buffet dinner. It was wonderful yearly event for members of the Than Hsiang family to forget about work, let their hair down and also enjoy themselves. The food was delicious and the atmosphere warm and happy.

The Eight–day 100 Million Mani Mantra Puja was successfully carried out in a serene atmosphere. His Eminence Thritsab Rinpoche, Rapsang Rinpoche, and three other lamas led the mani recitation. During the period, the main shrine hall, venue of the puja was turned into a magnetic field, generating an ambient of loving kindness and compassion. All the participants were filled with joy of Dharma.

Than Hsiang Temple organised its third Mani Mantra recitation assembly on the 12 th of December this year coinciding with the 1st day of the 11 th lunar month. As usual the auspicious day witnessed a continuous flow of devotee entering the shrine hall. By 10 am. Participants registered for stay in 8 days recitation started gathering at ground floor reception counter for checking in.

Mitra Welfare Centre (KL) recently organised a Pre-Marital Workshop on the 11 th and 12 th September respectively. This is the first ever workshop organized by the Than Hsiang Fund KL Branch to guide and prepare couples who intend to tie the knot.

During the workshop, discussions, sharing and group activities were carried out. Couples were engaged to discuss topics ranging from marriage preparation, financial management, family importance to communications improvement, etc.
